Deborah Linn Founder Hairstylist & Nail Technician
What is your background?
I was inspired to go to cosmetology school by my hair stylist in Champaign, IL and I wanted to work with her. In 1980, I graduated from Beaumont Beauty School in Champaign, IL.
After school, I went to work for Hair Performers. Hair Performers salons were originally located in Chicago and outlying suburbs, however, this one was the first franchise salon of John Amico Inc. to be located outside the Chicago area. 2 years later I became a Hair Performers trainer and I began traveling to Chicago on the weekends to educate hairstylists who were employed by H.P. salons. There were over 130 H.P. salons located in the Chicago area.
From their I landed a great opportunity and became a platform artist for HP at Chicago Chicago and the Midwest Beauty Show. I moved to San Antonio, TX and worked for the Redken Distributor Association as a sales rep. Next, I became a trainer with Redken Deco Color for 2 years and then began working on my own with Sonny Richardson.
I am the mother of 3 wonderful children, the youngest is now 21 and the GiGi of a handsome grandson and soon–to–be granddaughter. I had a vision of the perfect salon and spa and what it looked like. In May 2006, the opportunity arrived which allowed me to open a salon and spa in my vision; I invite you to experience Reneaux!
What are your hobbies and special interests?
I enjoy spending time with my children, listening to music, and working out. I also enjoy interior decorating and renovating homes.
What is unique about me?
I am the youngest in my family and the only girl.
Why did I choose my profession?
I originally started my professional career assisting surgeons in the operating room, however, after 2½ years I realized that I didn't like leaving work with a cap head everyday.

Why did I choose my profession?
Throughout high school I thoroughly enjoyed assisting with the special ed students. I originally went to college to be in education. After two years of prerequisites, I changed my major to nursing. I received my associates and transferred to Cumberland for the nursing program. With a year of nursing school out of my way, I realized my heart wasn't in it. So I took a year off to "Soul Search." I always enjoyed playing with my friends hair as a kid and decided that is what I truly loved to do. So, I went to Volunteer Beauty Academy, got my license and have loved every minute of it.

Why did I choose my profession?
I really don't know if I chose this profession, or if it chose me. After 30+ years of waiting tables, I was forced to have a double hip replacement. Going back to my previous profession was medically unadvisable. I have known Deborah Linn as my hair dresser and friend for for many years. Upon visiting her for a hair color and cut after my first surgery, I mentioned that my doctor said waiting tables was no longer in my future. Deborah mentioned she had an opening for a receptionist, and the rest is history. I love working at Reneaux Day Spa & Salon. There is a lot of energy and very skilled employees. I would suggest any service to anyone, as our employees take great pride in taking care of each and every client.
We recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and we thank everyone who supported us during those 5 years. The facility is beautiful, and I am proud to be a part of such a great organization.
