Deborah LinnDeborah Linn
Founder & Hairstylist

What is your background?
I was inspired to go to cosmetology school by my hair stylist in Champaign, IL and I wanted to work with her. In 1980, I graduated from Beaumont Beauty School in Champaign, IL.

After school, I went to work for Hair Performers. Hair Performers salons were originally located in Chicago and outlying suburbs, however, this one was the first franchise salon of John Amico Inc. to be located outside the Chicago area. 2 years later I became a Hair Performers trainer and I began traveling to Chicago on the weekends to educate hairstylists who were employed by H.P. salons. There were over 130 H.P. salons located in the Chicago area.

From their I landed a great opportunity and became a platform artist for HP at Chicago Chicago and the Midwest Beauty Show. I moved to San Antonio, TX and worked for the Redken Distributor Association as a sales rep. Next, I became a trainer with Redken Deco Color for 2 years and then began working on my own with Sonny Richardson.

I am the mother of 3 wonderful children, the youngest is now 18. I had a vision of the perfect salon and spa and what it looked like. In May 2006, the opportunity arrived which allowed me to open a salon and spa in my vision; I invite you to experience Reneaux!

What are your hobbies and special interests?
I enjoy spending time with my children, listening to music, and working out. I also enjoy interior decorating and renovating homes.

What is unique about me?
I am the youngest in my family and the only girl.

Why did I choose my profession?
I originally started my professional career assisting surgeons in the operating room, however, after 2 1/2 years I realized that I didn't like leaving work with a cap head everyday

Samantha BogertSamantha Bogert
Hairstylist & Nail Technician

What is your background?
I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School of Nashville. My school was an incredible adventure of artistry, business and fun. The instructors gave me the opportunity to develop essential skills while I explored my passion, creativity and talents. During my time there, I got to be part of two programs. The first was the Phase 2 program which was for advanced students. The program is directed to teaching self–management skills, refined customer service skills and advanced technical and creative skills. The second program that I got to be part of was the Design Team. The Design Team is a student run program that puts our creativity to work. The Design Team goes into the community to do such things as high school lunch jams, parades, fashion shows, etc.

What are your hobbies and special interests?
Growing up, I was very active in gymnastics, dance and was a cheerleader for thirteen years. I love to go see a movie, any kind of game or be at a concert. One of my favorite things that I get to do is spend lots of time with my little amazing cousins.

What is unique about me?
I was a very lucky baby, I was adopted!

Why did I choose my profession?
I chose this profession because of my favorite person in my life, my grandmother. My cousin and I had gone to visit my grandmother when we were seven years old just like we did every summer and my grandmother asked me to cut her hair. My grandmother then explained that she had cancer and was going to start treatment and that she wanted me to buzz all of her hair off so she could wear a wig. While I was removing her amazing locks, she started to cry as so did I. She told me they were happy tears but I told her no they were not. It was at that moment I decided I wanted to cut hair for the rest of my life so no women ever has to cry again.
